Bill Shkurti retired in 2010 after 20 years as OSU’s Vice President for Business and Finance. He then set out to do a highly detailed recap of life at The Ohio State University during the turbulent 1960s (a part of which was he was a student). He has published two books, one on how the college grew in the face of a wave of Baby Boomer students coming to the campus, and a second one on the developing music scene at the school and the Columbus area. This is where Local Lix fits in. Bill really knew his music of the day, often bringing big named bands to perform at OSU, when he was a student, and becoming an expert on the bands impacting music in a big way at the time. You will enjoy the enthusiastic banter between Bill and Local Lix as we hold our own with a real aficionado of the music scene in the 1960s.
