A Hard Day’s Night

05/08/2022

You get two interviews for the price of one when you listen to this entertaining and informative discussion  with John Auker, a member of The Beatle’s tribute band called “A Hard Days’ Night  John is one impressive young man and a fine representative of the current generation of musicians in the Central Ohio Marketplace.

During the first part of the interview, John shares his background dating back to when he was first involved in music at the ripe old age of eight.  His love and interest in song ultimately leads  him to Capital University in Bexley, Ohio where he graduates with a degree in music.  From there he begins wearing a variety of hats including band mate for several acts, and the sharing  of his knowledge of music through firsthand instructions with younger and talented members of our next generation of contributing artists.

But then someone very fun occurs at the beginning of the third segment.  Suddenly, the spirit of George Harrison appears, and he takes over the interview.  “George” answers a variety of questions about the Beatles and shares a perspective throughout in a convincing manner, to the point that you might lose sight that you are listening to a very impressive imitation.

Of course, John discusses his role in his Beatles’ tribute act, of which he is very serious about doing as well as he can possibly do. That attitude included  him learning to play the sitar, which you will hear during his interview.  This part of the show is so much fun.

“A Hard Day’s Night” is a premiere tribute act touring all around the Midwest region performing in venues as big as Abby Road on the River, which the band has annually presented their material for ten years and running.   It is no wonder when you have someone such as John, playing the Harrison charact to a tee.  You will truly love listening to this interview.
