Donna Groom

Local Lix was so very fortunate to have Donna Groom grace our airwaves, as she is one of the more talented vocalists in the eastern portion of the United States. A native of Pittsburgh, she has been a member of the famous vocal group, The Skyliners, since the year 1982.

The Skyliners established themselves as a history-making group, having recorded the classic “Since I Don’t Have You”, which peaked at #12 on Billboard’s Chart, and is still played to this day on radio stations across the country. They followed up that huge hit with another pair of top forty tunes, “This I Swear”, peaking at #26, and “Pennies From Heaven,” which peaked at #24.
Donna was the perfect addition to The Skyliners. You will learn that her powerful and crystal-clear voice has carried her to prestigious concert halls across the country. She has shared the stage with musical legends, where she has earned a reputation for vocal and musicianship excellence, mixed with an on-stage warmth and charm and a determined professional approach to her craft that has made her an absolute crowd-pleaser across the United States.
Her charm is more than evident in this interview, as she shares with Local Lix her amazing accomplishments, touts her latest album “Just Wonderin’” and shares insight to a career that most would envy to have.
