Don White

Except for a short-term stay with one of his bands in Southern California in the later part of 1977, Don White has made his home in Central Ohio. He has played in over a dozen bands beginning as early as junior high school right up to his present long-term runs with the classic rock band, The Cyrkle (Remember the song “Red Rubber Ball”?), and with The Gas Pump Jockeys in the Ohio Regional marketplace.

He is one of the greatest guitarists in his home state. Accomplished on both the six and twelve string guitars, Don is blessed with the skills to adapt to any band or artist he asked to play. He can play like the original recording or present his own unique style.

As a member of The Cyrkle, he tours all over the USA playing with some of the most highly regarded bands of the baby-boomer generation and has gained the utmost respect for his playing from these hugely successful acts.

That should tell you volumes about his musical skill sets. But as you will hear in this Local Lix interview, Don is soft spoken, humble and thoughtful. He presents a genuinely nice-guy appearance on his interview, and it is an accurate representation of the man himself.

It is always satisfying to see someone pay his dues and do the hard work it takes, finally make his way to the top of the national music scene. Share in Don’s long road to success in this very enjoyable interview between two bandmates and good friends.
