Hall of Fame Song Writer & Garth Brooks

November 17, 2017

The second member of the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame to appear on Local LIX. Pat Alger is both a writer and a performer. You will learn how he toured for a decade as the opening act for the Everly Brothers, as well as recording his own material. But he really made a name for himself when he connected with Garth Brooks. Together they wrote “Unanswered Prayers”, “That Summer”, “The Thunder Rolls” and “What She’s Doing Now (All number ones). But he did not stop there, and that is why you will need to tune in and hear of all of the others hits he wrote for a bevy of Nashville stars. His “Bonus Lix” segment is a free lesson on the art of songwriting. Be sure you hear that additional segment.
